Edward G. Meisenheimer, Jr., 84, formerly of Owensboro passed away Saturday, February 7, 2004, at the Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. and was retired as an administrator with the Can-Tex Industries after 32 years and was with Green River Area Development District for 9 years. He was a lifelong member of Zion United Church of Christ where he was very active, was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavina Loring Meisenheimer on June 26, 1999.
Surviving are 2 sons and their wives, Edward A. and Suzanne Meisenheimer of Naperville, Il. and Stephen L. & Eleanor Meisenheimer of Knoxville, Tn. and a daughter and her husband, Anne M. & Wayne Helsley of Newburgh, In., 7 grandchildren, Toby, Andy, Laura, Michael & Tim Meisenheimer, and Sara & Todd Helsley and 1 great grandchild, Caed Meisenheimer.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 9, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with entombment following in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ, 625 Allen St., Owensboro, Ky. 42303 or to Good Samaritan Pathways II, the Alzheimers Community, 601 N.
