He is survived by his four daughters, Karen L. (Ralph) Wallem of Huntingburg, Pamela M. Guyton of Carmel, Debra S. Poole of Linton, and Janice L. Engle of Jasonville, five grandchildren, Mark (Jennifer) Wallem, Johanna (Bob) Gallagher, Jeffrey Stahl, Cade (Jessica) Poole, and Doug Poole, and eleven great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 72 years, Mary E (Yentes) Engle, an infant daughter, Catherine Edith Engle, a granddaughter, Katherine Lynn (Wallem) Koury, and siblings, Charles Engle, Helen Sheets, and Elaine Parquet.Burial at the German Memory Hill Cemetery in Linton, with military rites.
