Bio: Columbia Basin Herald - Sep. 3, 2010March 1, 1928 - August 31, 2010 Bob was the oldest son of Ted and Clara Jingling, growing up outside of Moses Lake, WA and attending the Wheeler school in the early Neppel days of Grant County's history. For years he has collected clippings and stories of Eastern Washington, from the early settlers to today's news. April 15, 1954 Robert came home on leave from the Air Force and married the love of his life, Beverly Lucille Kuehn, who preceded him to Heaven in 2000. The Air Force took Bob to Wyoming, Guam, Morocco and finally to Fairchild A.F.B. in Spokane, where he finished his duty. Bob and Bev then moved to Moses Lake and settled in their Lakeview Terrace home, where they resided all their married life. That home was blessed with four children, and all the activities of an active family.Bob was a founding member of the Moses Lake Assembly of God Church and served in many ways as a teacher, bus driver, deacon, and with music. He also was involved in the community as a Gideon and served as a Boy Scout leader.U & I Sugar employed Bob, followed by work at Shinn Irrigation, Kingrey Irrigation, Head Start and Doxol Propane. His family was so proud of his perseverance in obtaining his GED at the age of 55, since he left school to work the family farm after the 8th grade. He never got the old farm ways out of his blood, and enjoyed gardens, gleaning, canning, and projects. Bob never knew a stranger and would talk to anyone to hear their story or share his memories of the old days.Bob enjoyed the activities and care of the wonderful folks at Columbia Crest Care and Rehab and his chuckle and singing voice will be missed there. Bob loved the Lord and loved being part of this community all his life.Robert is survived by four children, Kathy, Joyce and Sherrie Jingling of Moses Lake, Ron and Kathi Jingling of Spokane, and his grandchildren, Noelle and Jon Jingling of Spokane.
