  [S927] Obituary. Donald D. Meidinger, 57, Jamestown, N.D. died Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at his home in Jamestown, N.D. Donald Dean Meidinger was born March 1, 1945, in Jamestown, N.D., the son of Leona Meidinger Dahl and Reinhold Meidinger. He grew up in Medina and attended school there. On November 22, 1963, Don married Shirley Wurtele at Streeter, N.D. They lived in Fargo from 1963 to 1966 where Don worked for Berkey and Crary and Overvold Motors. In 1966, they moved to Medina, N.D. where he worked for Medina Cheese Plant and Farmers Union until he began his trucking career with Leonard Wall Trucking Company. In 1972, they chose to make their home in Jamestown, N.D. Don trucked for several companies until he began operating Don Meidinger Enterprises in 1983. Don was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Jamestown and a volunteer bus driver for the church. He was a member of the Jamestown Eagles Club. Don enjoyed his motorcycle and taking short trips with his wife, Shirley. He looked forward to coffee time with his buddies every morning and Don would be seen driving through the car lots on an almost weekly basis. He cherished the daily time spent with children Lisa, Mark, Stewart, and his grandchildren, Lindsay, Matthew and Morgan. His greatest joy was his relationship with the Lord. After his conversion in 1995, he lived a quiet life of service to the God he loved. Don is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Jamestown, N.D.; a daughter Lisa (Stewart) Baumgartner, a son Mark Meidinger, both of Jamestown, N.D.; his grandchildren, Lindsay, Matthew, and Morgan, of Jamestown, N.D.; a brother, James (Barbara) Meidinger; of Lodi, CA; and three nieces, Jamie, Nancy, and Shelly. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Myron, and niece Julie. Memorial Service: 1:00 P.M. - Saturday, July 13, 2002 at First Assembly of God Church, Jamestown, N.D., with Rev. Darrell Losing officiating. Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M. - Friday, July 12, 2002 at First Assembly of God Church, Jamestown, N.D. No Visitation scheduled In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to First Assembly of God Church.
