""God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, 'Come to Me'"". Hal's fight with Multiple System Atrophy ended on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 4, 1964. Hal was 50. He graduated from Catholic High School in 1982. An avid tiger fan, Hal graduated from LSU in 1987 and was a season football ticket holder until his death. He is survived by his two precious boys who were his world: Noah and Elijah Bahlinger and their mother, Catherine Nipper; his parents: Harold and Claire Wilson Bahlinger; sisters: Allyson (Gary) Mayeux, MD, Melinda (Frank) Antonicci, and Anne Scott (Jacques) Pourciau; nieces and nephews: Gary Paul (Andrea) Mayeux, Jr., MD, Michael Mayeux, Natalie (Brandon) Brimer, Charlie Mayeux, and Jacob and Mary Scott Pourciau. Hal worked many years in the family business, Kornmeyer's, as the Operations Manager. He was a past president of the Sales and Marketing Club of Baton Rouge, The Greater Baton Rouge Retail Furniture Dealers' Association, and Manresa House of Retreats of which he was also a board member. Nothing in life made Hal happier than his boys, LSU football, retreats at Manresa, and trips to Madonna Pines Farm with the ""Sacred Heart Bunch"" which included lifelong friends: Joey Delaune, Joel Reech, Jack Whitaker, Archie Kranske, Howard Cuevas, and Brad Decoteau. Special thanks to Dr. Bill Moore and the staff at Cardinal Hospice, Rivers Livous, Leo Zeno, Thomas Rhodes, Paula Speed, and Kelly Williams for your patience, love, and care given to Hal during his illness; Glen Randow and the CHS Alumni Association, and CHS classes of '53 and '82 for making weekday meals possible for Hal and his caregivers; and the ""Sacred Heart Bunch Women's Division"" for the wonderful visits and weekend meals throughout Hal's illness. Visiting hours will be observed at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, from 5 pm until 8 pm with recitation of the Rosary, led by Men of Manresa, at 6:30 pm on Monday, October 26, 2015, and on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 10:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm celebrated by Father Jeff Bayhi. Pallbearers will be: Joey Delaune, Jack Whitaker, Archie Kranske, Joel Reech, Howard Cuevas, Brad Decoteau, Gary Mayeux, Sr., Frank Antonicci, and Jim Nipper. Honorary pallbearers are: Hampton Landry, Charles Landry, Shea Landry, Scott Landry, Valerie Fisher, Johnette Wilson, and Andrew Wilson. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the educational trust fund set up for his two boys (The Noah and Elijah Trust Fund, State Bank & Trust Co., 107 Founders Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70810, Attn: Andy Adler) or in Hal's name to Catholic High School, Manresa House of Retreats, Cardinal Hospice, The MSA Coalition, or a charity of your choice.
