He married Betty L. Hauser of Bloomington, Ill., on Nov. 25, 1949, in Bloomington, Ill.; his wife of almost 61 years. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Diane (Frank) Hoog Jr., Patricia (Ronald) Sefried and Linda (Jon) Aitken; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one brother, Clifford Roehm; one sister, Jackie Kinsinger; and Daisy, his beloved dog. He was preceded in death by one brother, Theodore, and one sister, Sandra Moore. He was an honorably discharged WWII Army veteran.
