She was born April 3, 1923, the daughter of Jasper William and Retta Kelsey Harms. She married Russell Scherer February 21, 1948. She was a homemaker and co-owner of the Lawrenceville Greenhouse for 35 years. She was a member of Beulah United Methodist Chruch and Home Extension. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Robert, Dan, and Scott Scherer; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, David Wayne Scherer, and a brother. Funeral services were at Siver-tMacey Funeral Home with burial in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
