Esther B. Zeager, 91, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. Born in West Donegal Twp., she was the daughter of Amos and Annie (Baker) Shoemaker. She was the wife of the late Monroe L. Zeager who died in 1995.
Esther was a 50 plus year member of St. Paul's United Methodist, Elizabethtown. She was last employed at Watt & Shand, and was an avid seamstress, homemaker and gardener.
She is survived by three children: C. Kelly, husband of Ruby (Etter) Zeager, Elliottsburg; L. Jill, wife of Rainer Rothen, Burkettsville, MD, and K. Suzanne, wife of Gary Ransom, Elizabethtown; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; a sister Grace, wife of Claude Daveler, Quarryville and two brothers: Lester, husband of Thelma (Beaston) Eshelman, Lancaster and Raymond, husband of Ruth (Garmen) Shoemaker, Mechanicsburg.
Esther was preceded in death by a sister Ada Eshelman Haldeman and eight brothers: Charles, Vere, Ralph, Willis, Albert, Earl, Paul and Harvey Shoemaker.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown at 2:00 PM. Friends may call at the chapel from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
Interment will take place in West Green Tree Cemetery.
If desired, contributions may be made to Masonic Village Hospice, One Masonic Drive, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
