Metz, 87, of McComb passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green. He was born on May 7, 1929 in Milton Township in Wood County, Ohio to the late Eugene L. and Vesta (Butler) Metz. He married Cathy (Hutson) Inbody on July 17, 2004 and she survives. John is also survived by a sister, Betty Engel of Toledo; brother, Fred (Judith) Metz of Bradenton, Florida; 3 step children; 5 step grandchildren and 14 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Donna and Shirley Metz. John served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he was a member of the McComb VFW and the American Legion. John was a lifelong farmer in the McComb area and was a member of the Hancock County Cattlemen’s Association. Visitation for John will be on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 10:00A.M. until the time of his funeral service at 2:00P.M. in the HARTLEY-LEHTOMAA FUNERAL HOME, 370 S. Park Dr., McComb, Ohio 45858, Pastor Walt Sheppard, officiating. Burial will follow in the McComb Union Cemetery with Military Honors accorded by the Hancock County Memorial Squad.
