Moore, 81, of the Red Oak Estates died at 8:35 PM Friday November 13, 2009 at the Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born June 28, 1928 in Canton to Charles "Don" and Ruth Shoop Snell. She married Raymond H. Moore Jr. on August 31, 1947 in Canton. He preceded her in death on July 5, 2007. Surviving are her son, Steven (Marsha) Moore and her daughter, Sheila (Howard) Dye both of Canton. Also surviving are her two beloved grandsons, Quinn (Danielle) Moore of Aurora and Chris (Kara) Johnson of Canton. She will also be remembered as the best "Granny" by her two great-grandsons: Colin Hayes Johnson and Kael Samuel Johnson. Her sister Kathryn (Joe) Gumbel of TN also survives. She also was proceeded in death by one sister. She worked at International Harvester Co. in Canton and later was a self employed Beautician. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Canton. She was a volunteer for the Coleman Clinic, American Red Cross and Meals on Wheels. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 17, 2009, at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Bob Reuter will officiate. Betty will be remembered as a wonderful and generous lady whose family meant everything to her. Burial will be at the White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
