Christian was born shortly after his family arrived in America, the youngest child of Christian Sr. and Katherina (Meidinger) Becker. His parent's homesteaded southwest of Streeter, Stutsman County, North Dakota. In 1905, Christian married Magdalena Schauer, age 18, who was living in Bloomfield township near Streeter. Magdalena was born November 22, 1887, in Russia. Christian and Magdalena moved to Carbon, Alberta, in 1910, and in 1917 moved to Burstall, Saskatchewan, farmed there for nine years, and lost this farm due to unpaid taxes. They then moved to a farm one mile west of Burstall before moving to the Walker farm four miles west of Burstall. Christian's death caused by a brain hemorrhage.
The couple had three sons, Otto, Carl married Aleada Ohlhauser, and Clifford; four daughters, Carrie married Croissant, Carrie passed away January 27, 1975, Alice born November 26, 1910, at Carbon, Alberta, married Edward Kienzle, Pauline born May 02, 1913, at Carbon, Alberta, married Henry Bloom, and Lily married Bollinger.
In 1940, Magdalena married Christian Brost who died at Medicine Hat, Alberta, in 1947. Magdalena died August 04, 1973, and is interred in Hillside Cemetery at Medicine Hat, Alberta.
