(Bill) "Garr" Inman, Jr., 84, River Bluff Road, Bedford, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Mitchell Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mitchell. He was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Bedford, the son of William W. Inman, Sr. and Anna (Burkhart) Inman. He married Mary Ellen Herley on Dec. 29, 1948, in Bedford, and she preceded him in death on March 29, 2000. He was a retired Union Iron Worker with Local No. 22 In Indianapolis. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion Post No. 33 Bedford, Bedford Elks Lodge, and a former Commodore of the Bedford Boat and Sportsmen's Club. Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Embree and husband David of Campbellsburg; one son, J. Timothy Inman and wife Karen of Bedford; three grandchildren, Deidre Inman of Bloomington, Katelyn Inman of Bedford, and Jake Inman of Bedford; four step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ann Fiddler and husband Charlie of Bedford; and three sisters-in-law, Phyliss Inman of Logansport, Virginia "Sue" Inman of Martinsville and Susie and Dr. Jim Weiss of Doraville, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two brothers, Charles Edward (Brush) Inman, and Joseph David Inman. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Bedford. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens with graveside rites by American Legion Post No. 33, Bedford. Family links: Parents: William W.
