Emma R. Lester
MARINE CITY Emma Ruth Lester, 92, of Marine City, died Wednesday, June 28, 2006 following a brief illness. She was born in Marine City on May 22, 1914, a daughter to the later Curtis and Addie (Cattanach) Lester. Emma worked for the Ainsworth Company. She also was a housekeeper for the Franklin Moore family, the late Harry Altherr family, and Mary Lou Coeburn, all of St. Clair. Emma is survived by her loving sister, Gertrude (Puff) Aspenleiter; special nephews, Gary (Shirley) Aspenleiter of Marine City, Larry (Kay) Aspenleiter of China Twp., Milton (Judy) Lester of Marine City, Robert (Jackie) Lester of Marine City and Jim (Charlene) Lester of North Carolina; greatnieces, Kari (Kevin) McGraw, Heidi Aspenleiter (fiancee, Jim Cuthbertson), Pam (Jerry) Brinker, Jennifer Lester, Pam (Steve) Hunt, Kristi (Doug) Tite; greatnephews, Matthew Aspenleiter, Milton (Pam) Lester, Robert (Carolyn) Lester, Doug (Michelle) Lester, Curt (Cheryl) Lester; special greatgreatniece, MaKenna Aspenleiter; and special greatgreatnephew, Warren Cuthbertson; special friends, George and Margaret Steinmetz; and several other nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ralph Lester; her brother and sister inlaw, Stanley and Jeanette Lester; her brotherinlaw, Jack Aspenleiter; and her great nephew, Curtis Aspenleiter. Emma was a special sister, aunt and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in BowerRose Funeral Home, Marine City with Pastor Troy G. Waite officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Aspenleiter, Larry Aspenleiter, Milton Lester Sr., Doug Lester, Jim Lester and Bob VanBuskirk. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Visiting in the funeral home is 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
