Birth: Mar. 29, 1915 Emmons County North Dakota, USA Death: Oct. 11, 2000 Bismarck Burleigh County North Dakota, USA Rudolph Zoller, 85, Linton, died Oct. 11, 2000, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Linton. Burial will be in Temvik Cemetery. Rudolph was born March 29, 1915, on a farm northwest of Linton, the son of Phillip and Margaretha (Kirschenmann) Zoller. He married Alvina Weber, July 6, 1937. They made their home on the Zoller family farm until they moved to Linton in 1953. He retired from farming in 1974. Rudolph was most known for his good nature and wonderful sense of humor. He loved to joke, have fun and make people laugh. Each morning he joined his coffee buddies, and many afternoons were spent shooting pool or playing cards at the Senior Center. He was an active member of the Linton Senior Citizens. His love of farming extended to his gardening and yard work in his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, throwing darts and especially tinkering and making "stuff." He'd study something and say "I can make that" and he did. He made the good old days come alive as he related adventures. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alvina; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Ardyth and Jerald Van Heukelom, Wyoming, Mich., Ramona and Larry Humann and Cynthia and Steve Kurtz, all of Linton, and Sheryl Zaun and Wanda Glasser, both of Bismarck; and one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Val Zoller, Fargo; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther Perry, Bismarck; and twin brothers and one sister-in-law, Richard Zoller and Reinhold and Ann Zoller, all of Vancouver, Wash. Some of his most favorite times were enjoying German meals with his family. He was preceded in death by two infant sons; a son-in-law, Peter Glasser; six brothers, Adolph, Jake, Edwin, Ludwig, John and Emil; and three sisters, Alice Stoller, Lydia Bender and Christina Zoller. Casketbearers will be his grandsons, Kevin and Keith Van Heukelom, Ron Goettle, Rory and Keith Humann, Dustin Kurtz, Mark Roskamp, Jordan Glasser and Toby Lancaster.
