The funeral was held at 2 pm, Monday Feb. 16 at the First United Methodist Church, Pierre with the Rev Richard Gould officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Pierre. Richard H Larson was born September 20, 1913, in Pearson, Iowa, to Nels and Augusta Bengtson Larson. He came to South Dakota with his parents in 1921. They lived in Harrisburg area for five years, and moved to Lyman County in 1926. He married Alma Roth June 3, 1947 in Chamberlain. After serving in World War II he returned to Lyman County where he farmed and ranched his retirement. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Fort Pierre and the United Methodist Church, Pierre. He is survived by his wife of rural Fort Pierre, two sisters, Vera Larson of Pierre and Mabel Richards of Fort Pierre.
