She was born on December 30, 1920 in Auburn to Orla E. and Clarissa Bihr. Ruth was a bookkeeper at the Butler Company and worked for several years at Peoples Federal in Auburn. Ruth loved refinishing furniture, reading, doing needlepoint, tending to her flowers, and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of New Hope Christian Center. She married John D. Jones on April 12, 1941 in Bryan, Ohio, he preceded in death on July 31, 2001. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Christina Jones of Hamilton, a daughter and son-in-law Yvonne and Lowell King of Waterloo, five grandchildren Tammy and Jim Akins of Auburn, Janelle Wilson of Ashley, Barbie and Bill Randolph of Angola, Melissa King of Waterloo and Jon King of Waterloo, a sister Rosalyn Keesler of Elkhart, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Reba Payne. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at H. E. Johnson & Son Funeral Home, Butler. Visitation will be Wednesday October 10 from 3-7 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Butler Cemetery. Family links: Spouse: John D.
