LARRY JAMES BABCOCK 1938-2004

SENECAVILLE Larry James Babcock, 65, of Salesville, died Thursday (Feb. 5, 2004) at his home.
Mr. Babcock was born Oct. 14, 1938, in Platteville, Wis., son of the late Merle and Annette Wegman Babcock.
He was a former employee of Byesville Aseptics, and prior to moving to Guernsey County, he was a meat cutter/supervisor. He was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and traveling. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Babcock; a brother, Rich Babcock; and a sister-in-law.
He leaves his wife, Mary Orton Babcock, whom he married April 26, 1958; three sons, Larry (Ann) Babcock of Ravenna, Michael (Shelly) Babcock of Stow and Jerry Babcock of Louisville; three brothers, Les Babcock of Franklin, Wis., Tom (Elaine) Babcock of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., and Bill (Janet) Babcock of Phoenix City, Ala.; a sister, Peg Babcock of Greenfield, Wis.; and six grandchildren, Michael, Katie, Rocky, Christine, Sara and James, who is currently stationed in Hawaii serving with the U.S. Armed Forces.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Black Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, where wake services will be 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Lore City with the Rev. Father Robert Borer officiating.
Burial will be in Holy Apostles Cemetery in New Berlin, Wis., at the convenience of the family.
