Birth: Feb. 2, 1918 Mandan Morton County North Dakota, USA Death: Nov. 25, 2003 Mandan Morton County North Dakota, USA Isabelle Kraft, 85, Selfridge, died Nov. 25, 2003, in a Mandan care center. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Selfridge, with the Rev. Bill Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, where a parish vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the services at the church. Isabelle was the oldest daughter of Peter and Perpetua (Siegel) Landeis, born Feb. 2, 1918, six miles north of Mandan. She was raised and educated in a one-room schoolhouse in Frieda. She worked in Mandan, then on Nov. 21, 1939, she married Anton A. Kraft in Selfridge. They farmed and ranched three miles southeast of Selfridge until their retirement in Selfridge in December 1976. Isabelle was a loving, caring person who enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, entertaining, visiting, especially getting together for the holidays, gardening, baking, playing cards and doing puzzles. She is survived by four sons, Albert (Virginia) Kraft, Flasher, James (Gloria) Kraft, Selfridge, Duane (Jane) Kraft, Selfridge, and Dick Kraft, Aberdeen, S.D.; one daughter, Annette (Kevin) Kiland, Fargo; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Monica Davis and Maudie (Simon) Dillman; one brother, Leo (Hildegard) Landeis; and one sister-in-law, Tillie Landeis, all of Mandan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anton A. Kraft, who died Sept. 6, 1981; and one brother, Peter.
