Emmerich Franklin Emmerich, 59, of Ste. Marie, formerly of Effingham, died 7:50 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 10, 1979) in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Effingham. Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Friday in Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham, with 7 p.m. rosary. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, rural Effingham. Mr. Emmerich was born in Jasper County, son of Andrew and Anna Mein-hart Emmerich. He was employed by Crossroads Press, Effingham, was the former owner of Emmerich Trucking and was a member of Olney Moose Lodge. He married Rose Esker, who died in 1968. He later married Gladys Ochs. Surviving are his wife; sons, James of Dieterich; Joseph and Jerry, both of Effingham; daughter, Sister Marie Michell, SSND; Patty Kinkelaar of Effingham; Linda Gruenwald of Balston Spa, N.Y.; mother; brothers, Ralph, Oliver and Bob, all of Wheeler; Gene of Mattoon; sisters Mrs. Nick (Annie) Stuckey and Mrs. Joe (Blanche) Carter, both of Mattoon; Mrs. Daryl (Judy) Street and Mrs. Tony (Theresa) Will-enborg, both of Decatur; Mrs. Dan (Margaret) Reimer of Oregon; Mrs. John (Helen) Murry of Northbrook; Evelyn Kastle of Wheeler.
