Life Legacy
Peter Wilfred Aubrey, 86 year old Bixby, Oklahoma resident, passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Peter was born October 21, 1926 in Canada to Wilfred Aubrey and Agnes (Hubert) Aubrey. Peter graduated from Plymouth High School in Michigan in 1948. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1945 to 1947 and later served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. He worked in Public Relations for AT&T for 40 years and later served as a Greeter at Walmart. Peter was united in marriage to Karen Susan Virkler on November 7, 1993.
Surviving family members include his wife, Karen of the home; three sons, Daniel Aubrey and wife, Kathy of Michigan, Timothy Aubrey and David Aubrey also of Michigan; one daughter, Nannett Peiur and husband, Greg of Michigan; one brother, Jim Rollins of Florida; one sister, Alice Stewart of Michigan; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma. Pastor Clayton Griggs will officiate. Graveside military rites will be performed by the Haskell American Legion Post #56.
