He was born May 18, 1899, in Germany to August and Wilhelmina (Drager) Chole. He worked for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Evergreen Upholstery. Mr. Chole was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Puyallup Third Ward. Survivors include a son, Hilbert of Texas; two daughters, Miriam Ames of Puyallup and Lillian Sedlor of Texas; 19 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida, and a son, Raymond. Visitation was Monday at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup. A funeral service is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the LDS Puyallup South Stake Center. Interment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Cemetery in Bremerton.
