He was born October 11, 1907 in Boston, Ohio, a son of the late John and Luesinah Wells Swallie. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, his wife, Golda Luella : Huntsman Swallie two sons Allen Derward and - Ids Floyd Swallie; th daughters, Sharon Clark, Pauline M lhoan and and Luella Howell; four brothers, Andrew, Michael, Lester and Clesson Swallie; two sisters, Katherine Burghy and Fthel Stephens; a special daughter-inlaw, Shirley Goff Swallie and a Ethel Tyler Swallie. Surviving are five sons, Ronald Swallie of Bridgeport, Clesson Swallie of Belmont, Donald Richard and Jim Swallie, all of Barnesville; three daughters, Mrs. Harley Dauline Tubaugh of Ravenna, Mrs, Oscar Dorothy Gray of Colfax, N.C., and Mrs., James Mary Smithberger of Lewisville; two sisters, Loretta Maim, of Betheda and Lorena Trimmer of Barneville; 43 Grandchil-dren 59 great grandchiildren seven great-great-grandchildren and a special mention of three grandchildren, Allen, Judy, and Sandy Swallie all of whom were raised by Golda and Leroy as their own children. Friends were received at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home in Barnesville where services were held Friday, June 16 at 11 am. Burial followed in Crestview Cemeter Barnesville.
