Cox, 80, of Van Wert, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born January 23, 1934, in Van Wert, the son of the late Clarence and Genevieve (Pollock) Cox. He married Sharon (Roessner) Cox, who survives in Van Wert. Other survivors include a daughter, Laura (Harold) Harshman of Van Wert; one brother, Austin Cox of Medina; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A brother, Doyt Cox, also preceded him in death. Arrangements were handled by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
