LORENA ZINCK, 91, of Hazen, formerly of Streeter, North Dakota died Friday, March 25, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 2:00 PM CDT, Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Salem United Methodist Church, Hazen with Pastor David Birkeland officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Lorena Lenora Kirschenmann was born January 7, 1925 in Streeter, ND, the daughter of John Kirschenmann, Jr. and Lena (Spitzer) Kirschenmann. She grew up in Streeter and attended school and graduated from Streeter High School in 1943. She married Albert Zinck November 26, 1953 in Streeter. Lorena was employed at the State Bank of Streeter, Bank of Steele and First National Bank of Jamestown. Lorena served as an organist and pianist at the United Methodist Church in Streeter and also as an accompanist for quartets, trios and various singing groups. She was a piano teacher for several years and enjoyed playing the piano, quilting and reading. Lorena was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She also belonged to the Streeter Senior Citizens, where she served as president and secretary for many years. Lorena and Albert moved to Hazen in 2010. She attended Salem United Methodist Church and did some volunteer work at Senior Suites. Lorena loved her family dearly and her happiest moments were when she was in their presence. Lorena is survived by her children, Alberta (Dallas) Speidel of Hazen and George (DyVonne) Zinck of Rugby, ND; four grandchildren, Kayla (Ben) Brase, Andrew (Kara) Speidel, Nathan Speidel and Lee Zinck; two great-grandchildren, Tucker Zinck and Lydia Brase; and one sister, Cordelia (Arthur) Borth. Lorena is preceded in death by her husband Albert. Arrangements conducted by Barbot-Seibel Funeral Home, Beulah and Hazen.
