Loretta Siela, 98, of Heritage Woods in Watseka, IL, died at 9:00 A. M., Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 9 at Zion United Church of Christ in Gilman, IL with Rev. Connie Williams Moodie officiating. Burial will be in the Gilman Cemetery, Gilman, IL Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 9, 2006 at Zion United Church of Christ Gilman, IL. Loretta was born on January 16 ,1908 in rural Danforth, IL to Otto & Anna (Tammen) Saathoff. Her childhood was spent in the Danforth/Gilman Area. She attended and graduated from the Gilman Schools. Loretta also attended the Marycrest Business School in Kankakee for two years. She married Russell K. Siela on September 15, 1947 in Chicago. He survives. Survivors are - one sister-in-law - Helen Saathoff of Gilman and Numerous Nieces and Nephews Pre-decedents - Parents, 2 brothers - Alfred and Clarence Saathoff. She was first employed by Abe Ruben as a bookkeeper and then a Supervisor for C.I.P.S. in Paxton. Loretta was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. Zion's Women Guild, Community Betterment Club and Bridge Club. She enjoyed dancing and traveling.
