Roland Walth, 80, of Royal City, died July 29, 2000, at Deaconess Medical Center, Spokane.
Roland was born March 15, 1920 in Wishek, N.D., to Jacob and Christina (Schlepp) Walsh. He lived in Grant County for 31 years.
Roland married Elsie Salzer on May 13, 1943 in Ashley, N.D. in 1944, they moved to Washington and lived in Kittitas County until 1966, when they moved to Royal City. He worked as a mechanic and equipment service representative for Farmway in Quincy until he retired in 1982. Roland and Elsie have been active in the First Lutheran Church, Ellensburg, since 1950.
Roland is survived by his wife, Elsie; two sons, (names private) of Marietta, GA, and Quartz Hill, Calif.; one daughter (private) of Selah; brothers (private) of Wishek, N.D.; sisters (private) of Wishek, N.D. and Bismark, N.D.; and seven grandchildren.
His parents, son, DeLyle, brothers, Otto and Milton and sister Maggie preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Aug. 2, at the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Othello with Pastor Harry Sorenson officiating. Private family inurement to follow.
