Waldorf, Jane Jane Waldorf, born Aug. 22 1919 to John and Vivian Comstock in Globe AZ, died Aug. 24 2009 in Georgetown TX. She entered nurse training in Galveston at age 16; on graduating she continued working there. In 1942 she wed William Taylor, who died in combat before their daughter Sharon was born. The young widow was a volunteer nurse at a German POW camp in Liberty TX till the end of WWII. In 1950 she married Loyd Waldorf. They had daughters Helen and Leah. Jane was a devoted mother, hospitable hostess, and lover of God's creation. In 1967 she received her Master's in Education for the Deaf from TWU, then taught the deaf at Stonewall Jackson Elem., Dallas, for 17 years. Until her husband's death in 1999 Jane enjoyed traveling to many countries with her family. She is survived by her brother James Comstock and sister Helen Claire Mashburn, daughters Sharon Gresham, Helen Bohmfalk and husband Tom Bohmfalk, and Leah Farish and husband Kent Farish; grandchildren Kimberley Williams, No?l Blaschke, Drew Gresham, Rebecca Price, Matthew Bohmfalk, and Brian and Colleen Farish. Also surviving are great-grandchildren Holly, Heidi, Adam, and Drew Brown, Austin, Madison, and Evan Blaschke, Luke, Jennifer, and Lindsey Williams, Annika Price, and many nieces and nephews. She will laid to rest at Restland of Dallas. Memorials may be sent to Time for Christ Mexico Ministries, San Antonio, or Grace Academy, Georgetown TX.
