Great to hear from you Ursula! Greetings from the Great Northwest of the
USA. Thanks to you and your husband for doing this project. I didn't
get a chance to thoroughly navigate through the site, so I'm not sure what
information I may have left out. Here is some more detail concerning my
family: Father: John Meehan Smith. Born March 3, 1927, Dayton, Ohio.
Died January 13, 2004, Dayton, Ohio My mother, Anna, was born in
Georgetown, Indiana, February 24, 1923. She died July 21, 2010 in
Centerville, Ohio. All of my four brothers and I were born in Dayton,
Ohio. Timothy currently lives in Dayton. He is not married and has no
children. Terrence lives in Miamisburg, Ohio. He is married to Cherie
(née Cherie Manes). They have two Sons, Tyler Smith and Kyle Smith
(I'll have to get their birth dates for you). I live in Federal Way,
Washington. I am married to Ancheta (Mariano). We have two children:
Melanie Rae Smith, born June 2, 1996. And Logan Jack Smith, born October
19, 2004. Michael lives in Dayton. He is married to Pamela (née
Haught). They have no children. If you and my mom are 7th cousins 3
times removed, what are you and I to each other? Attached is a photo of my
family. Do I have any long lost Birkenhördt identical twins around
the same age that have been blessed with same German good looks? Also
I can probably get more information from my mom's sister's family -- Mary
Bertha Kochert. My mom and her older sister Mary left their hometown
of Lanesville, Indiana in the 1940 as young women looking for adventure
and wartime work and travelled to Dayton. This is where they met our
respective fathers, and raised their families. Mary is still alive -- at
93 the last of the Peter Kochert generation. She has four children and a
host of grandchildren. I'll pass this info on to my brothers. Hope to
