  [S927] Obituary. LeVern Heupel Posted: Wednesday, May 24, 2006 - 02:34:24 pm PDT LeVern Heupel, 69, a longtime Moses Lake resident, passed away Monday, May 22, 2006 at Samaritan Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Kayser's Chapel of Memories with Pastor David Daugs of the Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. LeVern was born October 7, 1936 in Leola, S.D., to Jacob and Rosina (Pfeiffer) Heupel, the youngest son of 12 children. He married Eileen -- the love of his life -- in Aberdeen, S.D. on June 14, 1959. LeVern and Eileen relocated their family to Moses Lake back in 1965 to continue his lifelong career as a carpenter. He enjoyed life, and being active with his family, while fishing, camping, relaxing in his vegetable garden and traveling across the states in their RV. Survivors include his loving wife Eileen; and their four children, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Daughter Karen Wareham and her husband Robert Grandson Cody and his wife Renee Great-grandchildren Michael, Samantha, Jenelle and Tristen Granddaughter Darcy Son Perry and his wife Marcella Grandchildren Michael, Jonathan, Travis, Amber and Colton Son Keith and his wife Tracy Grandchildren Christopher, Brandi, Jayme and Jacob Daughter Dixie Heupel Grandchildren Michael, Andrea and Ashley Brothers and sisters include: Anna Frankfurth, Walter Heupel, Harry Heupel, Jacob Heupel Jr., Shirley Wilson, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Jacob and mother Rosina (Pfeiffer); sisters Hertha Berreth, Francis Zantow; and brothers Eugene, Calvin, Milow, and Leo; and granddaughter Michele Wareham. You can shed tears that he is gone, Or you can smile because he lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see him Or you can be full of the love that you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he is gone Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
