Passed away on May 4, 2012 in San Rafael. Devoted husband of the late Berna Lakatos. Cherished father of Steven Lakatos (Vickie) and David Lakatos (Kathy Hagchell). Adored grandfather of Beth, Eric, Willie, and Marshall. Beloved great-grandfather of five. Loving brother of the late John Lakatos. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age: 93 years. Louis was born, reared, and educated in Akron, OH. During World War II, he enlisted in the US Army, proudly serving his country. After his discharge from the military, he settled in Petaluma and worked as a mechanic for thirty years for the City of Petaluma, retiring in 1984. In his spare time, Louis enjoyed repairing things, gardening, and his trips to Reno. He was a wonderful man; he will be missed. A special thank you to Louis' caregiver, Joanne.
