  [S927] Obituary. Helen Mae Spencer, 84, of Bowling Green, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Bowling Green Manor. She was born on July 15, 1924 in Bethesda, Ohio to Harrison N. and Verna B. (Jones) Moore. She married Jim L. Spencer on April 21, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2006. Mrs. Spencer was a former township clerk in Lovells, Michigan. Surviving are two sons, Gary L. (Barbara) of Bowling Green, and Douglas C. (Lois) of Perrysburg; two daughters, Sheila A. (David) Wentz and Sheryl S. (Ronald) Hardwick, both of Bowling Green, sisters, Joyce Heyman & Barbara Jones both of Bowling Green, eight grandchildren, Todd Spencer, Lisa Wilson, Scott & Kyle Wentz, Lynn Reynolds, Holly Kellerbauer, Krista Graham, Cory Spencer and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Spencer, sisters, Wilma Hamblin & Lynn "Sue" Halladay, and brother, Kenneth Moore. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday (April 27, 2009) at 10:00 am at the Dunn Funeral Home Bowling Green. Rev. Scott Estep will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Bowling Green Manor Nursing Home.
