Patty Jean Meidinger
The funeral for Patty Jean Meidinger, Lindale, TX formerly of Wishek, ND will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church at Wishek, ND. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at New Kassel Cemetery, Zeeland, ND.
Patty Jean Meidinger daughter of Gerhardt and Edna (Kaseman) Meidinger was born on January 21, 1963 in Wishek ND. She graduated from Zeeland High School, NDSSS and continued her education with YWAM. Patty served the Lord through Youth With a Mission an International Interdenominational Christian Missions Organization in Lindale Texas where she made her home for the past 14 years. Patty taught English to foreign students both in Texas and overseas. It was through this program she touched thousands of lives by showing them the love of Jesus. Patty’s love for God, faith, hope, love and compassion shined through her daily living. Many of her students have become missionaries or are very involved in the Churches of their countries. Patty also served in Hospitality and the Strategic Frontiers Department of YWAM.
Patty has lived or traveled to many, many countries around the world however she had a heart for Korea. She spent many years studying the language and was able to read, write and speak Korean. Patty always had a smile on her face. Her love of Christ shown through to others. It comforts us all to know that the seeds Patty has planted around the world will continue to grow and multiply Gods kingdom for generations to come! Family was very important to Patty. Her fondest memories were of hiking and camping with family. Campfires brought out the best in Patty. She greatly loved her nieces and nephew along with her great nieces.
Patty died after a brief battle with cancer. Patty went to be with the Lord her Savior and Father on May 11, 2016 at her home in Lindale, Texas. She showed extreme strength and faith during her situation and trusted in the Lords plan for her. She was 53 years old.
Patty is survived by her mother, Edna Meidinger, Wishek ND; 2 brothers, Clyde Meidinger, Blaine, MN, Ricky Meidinger (Ana) Wishek ND; 2 sisters, Cindy Gall (Raydon) Wishek ND, Liz Ann Phelps Bismarck, ND; 1 nephew, Ryan (Jana) Gall, Casselton, ND; 4 nieces, Amber (Michael) Halverson, West Fargo, ND and Allison Gall West Fargo, ND, Rowena and Riana Meidinger Wishek ND; 2 great nieces, Cambry and Cailyn Halverson West Fargo. Her entire family at YWAM in Lindale Texas with special friends Kathy and Gillian. Her special family at BCC and Freedom Fellowship. She loved you all.
