Birth: Jan. 8, 1938 McIntosh County North Dakota, USA Death: Aug. 27, 2011 Oakes Dickey County North Dakota, USA Ellendale, ND-Memorial service for Earl John Meidinger, 73, of Ellendale will be 10:30 am, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Prince of Peace Care Center Chapel. The Rev. Galen Sylvester will officiate. Burial will be in the Ellendale City Cemetery. Earl died August 27, 2011 at Oakes Community Hospital in Oakes, ND. Earl was born in McIntosh County, ND on January 8, 1938 to Ruben and Esther (Brandner) Meidinger. He resided on the family farm until he entered Prince of Peace Care Center in Ellendale where he resided until his death. When Earl lived on the farm, he loved the dogs. After moving to town, Earl enjoyed greeting people at Prince of Peace and served as the door watchman for a number of years. He also loved going to the Drive-Inn for ice cream. He is survived by one brother, Don (Cyd) Meidinger of Ellendale, three sisters, Loretta (Loren) Schulz of Edgeley, ND, Madilla (Harold) Scheffert of Guelph, ND and Betty Martin of Ellendale and one sister-in-law, Judy Vasvick of Ellendale. Preceding Earl in death are his parents, one brother, Howard, one sister, Delyne Heinrich, two brothers-in-law, Les Heinrich and Dale Martin and one nephew, Brad Meidinger. Honorary Urnbearers will be Earl's friends at Prince of Peace Care Center. Carlsen Funeral Home of Ellendale has been entrusted with arrangements. Family links: Parents: Ruben J.
