  [S927] Obituary. Irene J Miller, age 88, passed away March 9, 2013 at the Deuel County Good Samaritan Center, Clear Lake SD. A memorial service in honor of Irene will be held on March 13, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the Deuel County Good Samaritan Center in Clear Lake with Rev Frank McKeehan officiating. A memorial service in honor of Irene will also be held at the Venturia ND Baptist Church and cemetery in July 2013. Irene J. Miller was born August 9, 1924 near Zeeland, ND to Wilhelm and Lydia (Haas) Meidinger. She received her education in Zeeland schools. She married Edward Miller on November 25, 1941 at the Venturia Baptist Church. Together they made their home on a farm near Venturia, ND. Their union was blessed with three children Russell, Kenneth, and Connie. In 1968, they sold their farm and moved to Minot, ND. While living in Minot Irene and Ed owned and managed a Coast-to-Coast store. In 1971, they sold the store and Ed went to work at Sears and Irene worked at JC Penny?s and started her business as a seamstress. Due to Ed?s poor health they retired and moved to Riverdale ND and later to Hemet, Ca. where they resided for 20 years. Irene moved to Clear Lake 4 1/2 years ago and resided at Hidewood Estates and the Nursing Home. Irene enjoyed sewing, fishing, playing cards and bingo. Survivors include: Russell (Joan) Miller, Carrington, ND; Connie Hoftiezer, Clear Lake, SD; Kenneth (Mei) Miller, Long Beach, Wa.; two sisters and two brothers Erma, Dorothy, Oscar, and William (Bill) of Arizona and California; 6 grand children and 15 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters, 1 brother and 1 grandson.
