Auker Birth: 11 Sep 1938 Hocking County, Ohio, USA Death: 14 Aug 2009 (aged 70) Logan, Hocking County, Ohio, USA Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, Hocking County, Ohio, USA Memorial #: 41501760 Bio: LOGAN: William Leo "Bill" Auker, 70, of Logan, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009, in the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Hospital after an extended illness.Born September 11, 1938, in Logan, Ohio, he was the son of the late Francis John and Mary Regina (Canty) Auker.Bill had worked as an auto parts salesman for Ferd Hack Auto Supply for 25 years, was a U.S. Army Vietnam War Veteran, a member of the American Legion Lawrence Neil Helber Post 78, VFW 6854, Moose Lodge #873, the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 983, and he was also an avid Cleveland Browns Fan.He is srvived by five daughters, Beth Courter of Logan, Chris (Vic Butts) Coakley of Logan, Lynn (Luke) Horn of Gibisonville, Jeannie (Wally) Notestone of South Perry, Joy (Matt) Hynus of Logan; one brother, Tom Auker of Logan; two sisters, Patty (Marvin) McDaniel of Logan and Rita Daubenmire of Sugar Grove, Ohio; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronnie Daubenmire.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2009, at the Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, Ohio, with Monsignor William A. Dunn officiating.Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, where military honors will be given by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
