  [S927] Obituary. McLaughlin, A. Lee, Sr., 82, of Wardens Run, Wheeling, WV, died Monday, December 29, 2003, at the Wheeling Hospital. He was born August 14, 1921, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Harry James and Nettie Bott McLaughlin. Lee was a retired Hartford Insurance Group Claims Representative and a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps. He was a member of the Stone United Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder, Deacon and Choir member; a member of the Wheeling Lions Club; and a 55 year member of the Ohio Lodge #1 AF & AM. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Margaret Kahle McLaughlin in 2000. Surviving are a son, A. Lee McLaughlin, Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Libertyville, IL; two daughters, Beth E. Voltz of Pittsburgh, PA and Cassie Cox and her husband, Alan of Wheeling; two brothers, Warren E. McLaughlin of Wheeling, and James A. McLaughlin of Orlando, FL; and seven grandchildren. Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2004, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2004, at the Stone United Presbyterian Church, 25 East Cove Avenue, Wheeling, WV, with the Reverend Robert P. Nagy officiating. Entombment in Park View Mausoleum, Wheeling, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stone United Presbyterian Church or to the Wheeling Society for Crippled Children, 1305 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
