- [S927] Obituary.
WOODSFIELD -- Lewis F. Swick, 95, of Caldwell (Carlisle Community), passed away Feb. 1, 2013, at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell.
He was born Jan. 4, 1918, near Carlisle, son of the late Thomas F. Swick and Audrey F. Thompson Swick.
Lewis was a retired owner of the former Swick's General Store, Carlisle, and was a retired school bus driver with 42 years of service for the Noble Local School District in Noble County.
He was a U.S. Air Corp veteran of World War II; a 32nd Degree Mason for more than 65 years; a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Cambridge, and York Rite.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Pauline Horton Swick, on Sept. 7, 2010; and two sisters, Lucille Warner and Grace Wiley.
Surviving are a son, Greg (Elsie) Swick of North Lawrence; a daughter, Lorna (Jeff) Hannahs of Sarahsville; a brother, Dana F. Swick of Murphysboro, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, for a memorial visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Inurnment will be at the convenience of the family.
