OH Youngstown Vindicator, 17 Sep 1982 "William Funck, 92, of 235 Afton Ave. died of a heart ailment at 5:25p.m. Thursday in South Side Hospital after a five-day illness. Mr. Funck was born Sept. 23, 1889, in Canton, a son of Jacob and Lena Luderer Funck, coming to the Youngstown area from Sharon 20 years ago. He was a heater at Sharon Steel, where he was employed 28 years, retiring in 1960. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the International Order of the Odd Fellows of Youngstown. His first wife, the former Emma Rahn, died in 1943. Besides his wife, the former Hazel B. Measmer, whom he married Nov. 1, 1947; he leaves a son, William R. of Geneva, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Barbara F. Lambrecht of Hermitage and Mrs. Kathryn Royer of Boardman; a sister, Mrs. Laura Bruey of Canton, and four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Three brothers are deceased. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Davis-Velker Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and one hour before the service Saturday."
