Martha Kirschenman Williams Martha Williams was welcomed into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on December 6, 2016 at the age of 100. She was born Martha Kirschenman in the farming community of Tripp, South Dakota on October 11, 1916 to Karl and Rosina (Bender) Kirschenman. In 1937 Karl Kirschenman moved his wife and thirteen children to Kern County, California. Martha met Jesse Wilbur Williams in Bakersfield, California, and they were married in 1938. They moved to Granite, Oklahoma for a short time, then back to California for the war years. After WWII there was a move to Tacoma, Washington, where she lived out her remaining years. There she and Jesse raised two children, son Ronald Owen and daughter Janet Beth. Martha worked for many years in the faculty cafeteria at the University of Puget Sound. Martha's love, devotion, and faithful prayers for her family will be truly missed. Martha leaves behind her son Ronald O. Williams and her daughter-in-law AnaLee (Thomas) Williams of Bellevue, WA, her son-in-law Robert P. Wenner of Tacoma, WA, siblings Aaron Kirschenman of San Diego, CA, Walter Kirschenman of Portland, OR, Heartha (Kirschenman) Flesher of Bakersfield, CA, and Doris (Kirscheman) Ryan of Tacoma, WA, as well as seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a third arriving in January. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Wilbur Williams, her daughter Janet Beth (Williams) Wenner, and eight of her siblings. A celebration of life will be held at 3pm on January 7th, 2017 at the home of her granddaughter, Brenda. Please contact Lake City Community Church.
