BURLINGTON - Richard W. Breuer, 81, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2008, at his home. He was born June 5, 1926, in Burlington, to Alfred and Christine (nee: Frey) Breuer. Richard was a lifetime resident of Burlington. He graduated St. Mary's High School and attended Milwaukee School of Engineering. Richard served in the United States Army during World War II. On May 6, 1950 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Toelle. Richard owned and operated Breuer & Fell Electric, formerly known as Breuer & Menheer Electric. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was very active with the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and grandchildren, especially at the cottage Up North. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann, of Burlington; sons, Bill (Liz) Breuer of Australia and Tom (Linda) Breuer of Burlington; daughters, Kathy (Kirk) Boknevitz of Burlington, Anne (Norm) Sowinski of Franklin, Janet (Tom) Fell of Burlington and Patty (Gary) Hallett of Muskego; and by grandchildren, Justin and Tyler Breuer, David, Emily and Kent Breuer, Stacy and Mark Boknevitz, Katie, Christine, and Allie Sowinski, Anna (Bevin) Dawson, Brad and Janey Fell, and Marie, Tim and Lena Hallett. He is further survived by brothers-in-law, Ray Toelle and Chuck ( JoAnn) Toelle; and by a sister-in-law, Joan Breski. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 21, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Domenic Roscioli officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday, January 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family at the church on Monday, from 3:30 until 6:00 p.m..
