She was born August 9, 1924 in Boyne City, MI to George A. and Effie Z. (Fields) Hall and lived in Portsmouth before moving to Rittman in 1944. Iona was a homemaker and a member of Rittman Christian Church. Iona enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and camping and fishing. She married , Virgil C. Ullman on October 30, 1944 and he died on November 16, 2007. A son, Victor R. Ullman, died on September 2, 2007. 5 brothers and sisters, also died previously. Surviving are her children, Charlene Holcomb, Dottie (Gary) Larch, Bonnie Morrison and Judy (John) Lendon all of Rittman; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012 at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Dr., Rittman with Pastor Bill Eshelman officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
