Birth: Jun. 21, 1911 Death: Mar. 17, 1996 Eleanore Gangl, 84, Medcenter One Care Center, Mandan, died March 17, 1996, in the nursing home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mandan, with burial in Mandan Union Cemetery. Eleanore Wetsch was born June 21, 1911, in St. Anthony. She is the daughter of George and Aquilina (Leingang) Wetsch. Eleanore was raised and educated in St. Anthony. She married George Gangl on Nov. 14, 1932, at St. Anthony. They farmed in St. Anthony until 1968 when they moved to Mandan. Eleanore is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Martin Friesz, and Margaret and Joe Stegmiller, all of Mandan, Leona and Franklin Gartner, St. Anthony, and Donna and Peter Kuhn, Bismarck; 11 grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Clemens and Ione, Minot; and three sisters, Mary Eckroth, Mandan, Caroline Schaff, Bismarck, and Margaret Gangl, St. Anthony. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George, who died May 1, 1974; one son, Terrance; three brothers, Martin, George and Thomas; and four sistrs, Kathryn, Anna, Rose and Margaret.
