Jewel Wing REEDSPORT - A memorial service will be held later for Jewel Wing of Reedsport, who died March 4 of cancer. She was 87. Wing was born, the youngest of eight children, on Oct. 4, 1916, in Mandan, N.D., to Philip and Amelia Knoll Wetch. She married Clifford Wing in Reno, Nev., on June 15, 1958. She and her husband lived in western North Dakota before moving to Oregon in 1962. They lived in Depoe Bay before moving to Reedsport in 1992. She enjoyed cooking, camping, traveling, crafts and needlework, particularly crocheting and knitting. She also enjoyed going to garage sales and rummage sales. She especially enjoyed her family. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Bonnie Wahl of Reedsport, Sheila Graf of Portland and Margo Ereth of San Antonio; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. A son, Harold Ereth, three daughters, Rosella McCormick, Beverly Patton and Gerald Dean Ereth, three grandsons, Dennis Wahl and Michael and Frank Ereth, and a great-grandson, Curtis Brown, died previously. Dunes Memorial Chapel in Reedsport is in charge of arrangements.
