JOSEPH Sister Cassia Theis, OSB, 69, of the convent of St. Benedict, died Wednesday in St. Cloud. She was born Jan. 20, 1893 in Cold Spring, the sixth child of the late John and Mag- delene Schaefer Theis. Anna Mary entered the scholasticate at St. Benedict's, Oct. 8, 1919. She received the name Sister Cassia the following June. Her vows were made July 11, 1921. Sister Cassia's service to the community has been of a domestic nature for over 40 years. &ne served at a number of cities which included the follow- ing: St. Mary's in St. Cloud: Perham and Watkins: Altona. Wis.; New Munich, and since 1951, Sobieski. Surviving are three brothers. Jake and Frank. Cold Spring and Nicholas, Lansford. N.D. and two sisters, Mrs. George Molitor, KocKvine and Mrs. Jerome Sch neider, Cold Spring. A solemn mass of requiem will be offered at St. Benedict's at 9 a.m. Saturday.
