  [S927] Obituary. HELEN McClain Hendrixson, 78, died Monday October 27, 1986 at Oakland Nursing Center, Hillsboro where she had been a patient for the past two years. She was formerly of Sardinia, the daughter of the late Hugh and Lola McClain. She attended school here and was a graduate of the high school, class of 1926. She was a member of the Sardinia Order of Eastern Star, attended the Methodist Church, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and beloved by all who knew her. Eastern Star services were held Thursday evening at the Gus Beam Funeral Home with final rites Friday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Greg Inboden, officiating. Burial Sardinia Cemetery. She was preceded in death by a brother Lloyd. Survivors include her beloved husband Vernon whose marriage had covered a span of fifty three years, four daughters, Rose Marie Cowdrey, Hillsboro, Margaret Ann Douglas, Cleveland, Mary Jane Evilsizer, Winchester and Jennie Lee Carroll, Hillsboro, a son Pat of Winchester, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren, five brothers, Richard of Hillsboro, James of Middletown, Chester, Wilmington, Carl and Howard of Sardinia, two sisters Hazel Davis of Georgetown, and Mary Bove, Sardinia, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
