Saturday, November 3, 1934; p6.The entire community was shocked to learn of the death of Mrs. Clarence Schumacher of Eastern avenue, which occurred Friday morning at 5:30 o'clock. Death followed an illness of several months.Those left to mourn her departure are her husband and one daughter, Edith Margaret, of the home. Her parents, and one sister Edith, preceded her in death several years ago.Mrs. Schumacher was a prominent Woodsfield citizen, having come from a pioneer Monroe county family. She spent her entire life in Woodsfield, a member of the First M. E. church, and was always held in high esteem. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.The Times Recorder; Zanesville, Ohio. Man Dies at HomeWoodsfield - Clarence Schumacher, 77, of 318 Eastern avenue, died at his home Wednesday night following a heart attack.He was a retied Woodsfield clothing merchant. He was a life-long resident of the community.Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Jones, of Malaga, O.; and one sister, Mrs. W. B. Smith, of Woodsfield.The body was removed to the Schumacher funeral home where friends may call.Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon with Rev. Home J. Kopke officiating . Burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery. Mr. Schumacher served as president of the cemetery board of trustees for more than 40 years.The Times Recorder; Zanesville, Ohio.
