Breuer , age 86, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend. He was born in Slinger on May 18, 1925 to Frank and Louise (nee Baier) Breuer. He attended St. Peters Grade School and graduated from Slinger High School, then began his career in farming. He married Bernice Brugger on September 11, 1948 at Holy Angels Catholic Church of West Bend. They resided in St. Anthony for 42 years and after retirement, they moved to West Bend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and helping on the farm and especially loved playing with his grandchildren. Walter was a member of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Bernice; children; Larry (Karen) of West Bend, Garry (Connie) of West Bend, Terry (Linda) of Slinger, Mark (Nancy) of West Bend, Jean (Steve) Kearns of Slinger; daughter-in-law, Barb Breuer; grandchildren Anne (Tom) Sharkey, Kelly, Lori, Lisa, Julie, Katie, Shelly, Sheri, Ryan, Amanda, Brenda, Brooke, Amy (Patrick) Sullivan, Adam, Angela, Mindy (Kevin) Emmer, Travis, and Austin; one great-granddaughter, Olive; brothers Tom and Jerry (Rosie); sisters Eileen (Sylvester) Goeller, and Mary Peters; sisters-in-law Carole Breuer and Ruth (Joe) Altschaefl; and brother-in-law George (Rose) Brugger, Jr. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by parents; in-laws, George, Sr. and Olive Brugger; sister, Katherine Becker; brother LeRoy; sister-in-law Katherine Breuer; and brother-in-law Elroy Peters. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church (138 N 8 th Ave, West Bend) with Fr. Gerald Brittain presiding. The Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at noon.
