WOODSFIELD ? Lois M. Griffin, 90, of Berkley Drive, Woodsfield, died Thursday (March 2, 2006) at the Monroe County Care Center.
She was born Feb. 4, 1916, in Monroe County, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clark and Minnie Burkhart English.
She was a homemaker, an avid quilter, and member of the Woodsfield Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer W. Griffin on Dec. 7, 1996; daughter, Glenda Faye Griffin; and three brothers, Donald English, Kenneth English, and Sidney English.
She is survived by one son, Floyd (Evelyn) Griffin of Canton; two daughters, Flora Jean (Nelson) Stalder of Woodsfield and Helen (Doug) Yoho of Woodsfield; three sisters, Amanda English of Woodsfield, Maryannette (Vernon) Cline of Woodsfield, and Marilyn (George) Elias of Canton; one brother, John (Dorothy) English of Kentucky; five grandchildren, Steve (Cheryl) Griffin of Wadsworth, Ohio, Cheryl (Greg) Bissmeyer of Canton, Jason Stalder of Woodsfield, Kimberly Stalder of Woodsfield, and Kyle Yoho of Woodsfield; four great-grandchildren, Quentin, Hunter, and Brayden Griffin and Lucas Bissmeyer; and four sisters-in-law, Clara English of Woodsfield, Betty English of Graysville, Ohio, Mabel English of Michigan, and Dorothy Griffin of New Matamoras.
Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Minister Kevin Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Rinard Mills Cemetery, Rinard Mills, Ohio.
