- A funeral service for Ethel Georgianna Sheets, 83, of Hebron, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Kirkersville Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, with the Rev. Bill Maddux officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Sheets died Sept. 26, 2004, at the Whetstone Care Center in Columbus. She was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Licking County, to the late Emerson Read Iden and Grace Lillian (Cooperrider) Iden.
Mrs. Sheets was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Pataskala, where she had been pianist for 30 years.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice Kay (Norman Andrew) Vandigo of Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Marilyn Rose (Dwight David) Burkhart of Lewis Center; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Howard Sheets, in 1985; a son, Kermit Eugene Sheets; a daughter, Sheila Ann Crane; a brother, Johnny Iden; and a sister, Mary Kay Iden.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 285 E. Main St., Kirkersville.
