She was born on Feb. 23, 1927, in Cullman, Ala., a daughter of Claude Lindsey and Clara Jane Lloyd Lindsey. She was a homemaker. Lois was married to Lawrence G. Burkhart, who preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1972. Surviving are one son and two daughters, Ronald (Mary) Burkhart of Marietta, Patricia L. (Clarence) Kuhn of Whipple, and Janice (Daniel) Lowe of Newport; grandchildren, Roger Burkhart, Tony Burkhart, Tracie Kuhn, Kim Lowe, Jennifer Edgell, Lisa Kuhn and Nichole Bettinger; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She later married Paul Groves, who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1990. Surviving is one stepdaughter, Cathy (Jerry) McGee, and stepgrandchild, J.D. McGee. She is also survived by her brother, Johnny Lindsey; and sister, Neal Drake. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by two grandchildren, Robert Kuhn and Kim Kuhn; and several brothers and sisters. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. Family will be present from 2 until 4 and from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
